Scholarships & Financial Aid
A wide variety of merit-based and need-based financial aid options are available at the University of Utah; scholarships are also available through the College of Fine Arts and the Department of Theatre.
You can begin your financial aid search by following the steps below:
-
If you apply by the Early Action Deadline, you’ll automatically be considered for every available University of Utah merit-based scholarship .
-
This connects you with the university's automated system, which will help you find scholarships and track your applications. Once you complete this step, the system can automatically recommend any additional scholarships you qualify for.
-
The information from the Federal Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) may qualify you for additional need-based aid, which may include scholarships and grants.
Utah residents who meet the application and FAFSA deadlines can also automatically be considered for the For Utah scholarship, which covers tuition and mandatory fees for up to eight semesters.
Additional Financial Aid Resources
The Prospective Freshman Guide is an excellent resource for students seeking financial aid. It includes step-by-step instructions, dates & deadlines, and links to valuable resources. You can find it at the link below:
*Non-resident students who are residents of participating states can qualify for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition discount, which can save them more than 50% on tuition costs. Visit the link below for more information:
